Stone plays a starring role along this section, as the
path is particularly rocky. It is relatively easy to cover, however, because
the profile is quite flat and only varies when passing small gorges dug into the
rocks that lead to the sea. An example if this is Cap de Bajolí, where abundant
coastal vegetation grows in the stony ground. Some of the most attractive
flowering plants can be found here, among the rocky areas by the sea.
This section passes a series of coves, such as Cala es
Corbetar, which is an ideal place to admire Pont d’en Gil, a natural rock
bridge created by the erosion of the sea with a 300 metre deep cave nearby.
From here, the Camí de Cavalls follows the coastline until reaching Ciutadella’s
port.
