Music Festivals

Minorca lives to the rhythm of music. It's great musical tradition is shown at the different festivals held in outdoor sceneries open to our senses, as in the case of the Summer Music Festival fostered by Juventuts Musicals de Ciutadella. This series of concerts is held, mostly, at the Seminari Cloister, an old Augustine convent in Ciutadella, where we will have the chance of enjoying the quality of well known classical music players. On the other hand, the Joventuts Musicals de Maó organizes the International Music Festival at the Teatro Principal of Maó.

The Teatro Principal of Maó is one of the oldest operating opera scenarios in the country. This historical theatre annually programmes The Opera Week, with the performance of the world's most important personalities of the bel canto.

Minorca is also a paradise for jazz lovers. The International Jazz Festival of Minorca will allow us to let our imagination loose with the most important band sessions of the international panorama.
